Front-end-focused web developer. I design in Figma, build in React, Next.js and Ruby on Rails, and ship interfaces that are accessible and work at every screen size.
Redesigned the holdings and request pages for the move to Alma and Primo VE, from Figma mockups to production. Modernized the front end and raised test coverage.
Designed the brand identities for three demo repositories, Ellison, Harborview and Meridian: logos, favicons, palettes and type. Also had 14 pull requests merged into Hyku and Hyrax in five weeks.
Also: the University of Tennessee, Knoxville repository theme, ArchivesSpace restyling, Yale Digital Collections viewer work, and a Drata engineering internship.
About
From real estate to the front end
I came to software after 16 years in real estate, managing properties and coordinating multi-million-dollar closings. After the LEARN Academy bootcamp I spent four and a half years at Notch8, building web applications for libraries, archives and universities.
The work I like best is taking a system people use every day and making it clearer, faster and easier for everyone to use. I'm organized, I communicate early, and I'm comfortable being the person who keeps a release on track.
